What is refraction ?
Refraction It is a phenomenon in which direction of propagation of light changes when it passes from one transparent medium to another.
This is because, the Speed of light is different in different media.
There are two laws of refraction and they are:
(1) The incident ray, the refracted ray and the normal at the point of incidence, all lie in the same plane.
(2) The ratio of sine of angle of incidence to sine of angle of refraction is constant, for the light of a given colour and given pair of media.
